I'd put Konsa over there if we had another RCB worth his salt to cover for him.

To be fair to Carlos he did play in both victories over Arsenal last season.

He did but he flattered to deceive in most other games except for bullying Haaland.

He's missed the second half of pre-season and must have been unsettled while Fulham fucked about bidding for him before going for the Palace lad. I'd rather he was benched.

We still need more experienced cover at right-back. Shifting Konsa over isn't ideal. Also, the defence still needs cover for Torres, if he gets injured where is the cover at left centre back? Mings won't be back for a couple of months. Lenglet filled in last season.

Him away to Arsenal last season was arguably the best 90 minutes from any of our CBs last season.

He was McGrathesque that day with his reading of the game. Think he relishes the battle v Gabriel Jesus given they've been in Brazil squads together.

So many good battles all over the pitch tomorrow. Imagine saying even two years ago we'd have comparable players to Arsenal in many positions. They're a very good team who could easily win the league this season.

The midfield clicking last weekend was a pleasant surprise to me but this is the ultimate test.

I will go 2-2, 1-0 up, 2-1 down and then a late Duran equaliser.

Big test - they did look good last week (as we did) so a real first test to see if this squad has the mentality to try dominate the game recognising what we do off the ball will matter as much as what we do on the ball.

I predicted a win last week and am going to stick with that. 3-2 in a classic

Arsenal will be really up for this, after what we did to them last season. So might we be, of course. As of now though, I'd accept a draw from this one, if offered it.
