Magnificent victory. Finally a win 1at game of season in PL!
So the last time we won the first game was Bournemouth away I think. Gestede scored and we know how that season ended up....just saying.

I think and olaf can correct me if im wrong i think he means away win?

Best Saturday evening performance seen in that stadium since Farah, Ennis, & Rutherford all won Gold.
Post of the season.
Haha...love that ALITA. I was there that evening after paying a fortune for a ticket.

Great to see Rogers making great strides with the ball at his feet. Ditto JJ when he came on, the Jacob of circa 2022/23.

Really impressed with the drive some of our players have going forwards. I thought it would be our usual 1st game struggle. We looked very good.

Doesn't he have a generally very good record in London?

Yep. He's only lost one game, the end of season piss up at Palace. Also the only London Premier League ground he has yet to win at.

Emery record in London:

Played 13, won 8, drew 4, lost 1

Deduct one draw if you only want to count league games.

He's also got a 100% record in Edinburgh if we extend the stat to include all results in British capitals. 😀

Onana was immense and when Kamara gets fit our midfield will be in full on beast mode. When Morgan Rogers makes those direct runs straight through the middle you can sense the panic in the opposition defence. Maatsen looked superb when he came on. Onwards and upwards for the Villa boys. I fkn love our owners and I can't wait for the inevitable statue of Sir Unai Emery to appear outside the Trinity.

Does Maatsen start next week? Digne had a decent game but Maatsen looks the real deal
