Do we think Ned will get the nod over Cash
hope so and I don’t have a downer on Cash as much as some on here but he has looked well capable in pre season

i think Emery will go for Cash though as he’s not a massive risk taker especially as it’s early on in the season
I suppose Konsa could also play there as he did at times last season, depends on who he goes with in central defence
Will be a very interesting to see what the line is

I thought we normally dominate possession under Unai? Although admittedly think we will struggle to do that with Onana.

Out of interest Why do you say that I thought he was good on the ball

Only based on what I saw in Dortmund. We kept losing possession. He kept losing it and didn’t fit in. A lot of the pressure on Torres seemed to be there was no outlet for him to pass too.

I genuinely asked what the guy who thought he was the stand out in pre season saw as his attributes but he didn’t reply.

From what I saw he ran around a lot but wasn’t involved or dominant in the game.

I'd say he'll start with Cash. Nedeljkovic has looked decent in preseason but the Premier League is a different beast. He may ease him in for a few games first. Especially if we're having to integrate a couple of new players elsewhere.

His omission from the Dortmund game and subsequent internet rumours of Ollie’s death or worse found to be greatly exaggerated. He seems happy in training photos today.

Oh that don’t sound good
I was just assuming because Unai  bought him he must be comfortable on the ball
I’ll see him on Saturday in the flesh for the first time so I’ll make my opinion up then

Park the bus. Hit them on the counter .
Unai Emery in a nutshell.
replicate Arsenal A from last season. Keep it tight first 20, quieten the crowd, frustrate them. Get in at HT 0-0 . Then the magic starts to happen

It looks like Onana might be the only new league debutant on Saturday. Given that there is differing opinion about him already, this seems a little underwhelming and I thought we would have two or three upgrades by now.

I hope I am wrong,  but whilst we may no longer name two keepers on the bench, I don't think we have really strengthened the starting line-up.

Its a good point. Its virtually the same side as last season. Unless kosta comes in for cash onana will be only  change.

I do think maatsen will definitely add something once he gets up to speed

I might be wrong but wasn't Diaby the only new face against Newcastle in the starting line-up last year?

yep. Although you might as well also throw Pau in there given how early he needed to come on.
