I hate it when people start jumping on the back of players for being injured. I'm sure he's more pissed off about it than any of us.

To be fair, it feels like he only plays when he’s absolutely 100% and won’t risk it if there’s even a slight knock. So you can understand why people are a bit sceptical. I’m not saying he isn’t injured right now, but in the past I’ve questioned just how serious those injuries really were.

Why? What do you know about his injuries that no one else does?!

Oh you mean that thing that no else knows.!!..... That some player with knocks and some don't.

The people who will decide whether a player is able to play or not will be the medical staff. If they think he's fine, great.

He's not phoning up Emery at 8.58am and putting on a croaky voice because he'd rather have a day in front of Netflix.

It is my opinion that the starter motor on your car is fucked.

Don't be that naive..If Onana says he doesn't feel 100% the medical staff are not gonna force him to play. There was a suggestion in Guillem Balagués book that he wouldn't declare himself fit when others thought he was okay.

Yeah, any 24 year old professional footballer is going to be looking for any reason possible to get out of having to play in a European semi-final.

Yes, you're being totally unreasonable about these injuries, cd. Come on, just apply some thought.

If you actually took the time to read... you would see I said I'm not saying that this is the case for tomorrows game. I guess you are just too intent on arguing a reasonable point.

It's obvious he fancied yet another week off. All the sheeple believing he's injured is amazing.

I think it's not impossible that he knows perfectly well he's a bit susceptible to injury, and is afraid to do anything that might make a twinge worse. He's only human, and plenty of us are hypochondriacs to some extent. Maybe he too is prone to a Google illness search death spiral.

Although even if that's the case, I very much doubt it'll be the reason for his absence tomorrow. It looked like he pulled a muscle last week.

Maybe. But it's not really a matter of anyone's (on here) opinion.

Thank you,  That's all I was trying to say I just didn't word it as eloquently as you have.

I don't, I want a proper 6.

Yes.

We’d have to buy an 8 as well then, or rely on Tielemans to stay fit for 50 games.

Of course, it's just idle speculation.

The only parameter that really matters is how many games he actually misses through injury, and for me that number's too high. It's a shame, cos his go-go-gadget extendable legs are great.

True, but I'd rather we didn't sign Luiz and sold Buendia, and replaced them with one superior player to cover that role.
