Very harsh, he was our best player until he came off, did he need to come off? Dunno. I guess the medical bods said so.

He was limping from the moment he cleared the previous cross. Don't think Stan is completely wrong either.

Sell Kamara. That's the worst take I've seen all night and you have some serious competition.

I certainly wouldn't sell Kamara, he's just too good despite his injury record.

But we can't afford to have two players in the same vital position incapable of staying fit for more than 25 games a season. It's having too much of an impact on our results.

He’s a great player but injury prone inc 2 ACL’s. He has played 88 PL games in 4 seasons. As a comparison Watkins has played approximately 140 games during that period. You can’t rely on him being consistently fit. We need a rebuild and I’m not just saying that after a poor performance tonight.

Ridiculously harsh for a guy who clearly injured himself precisely from not going AWOL, not to mention a bit bloody rich considering the source.

Spot on. It was a great defensive header.

I think his problem is that he using his long limbs to make tackles, often with the wrong leg. In that sense, he is prone to injury rather than injury prone.

He definitely doesn't go missing as Stanloi is suggesting.

Stan Collymore: "If we get significant money ever for Onana, sell sell sell.

Ask anyone who's played the game and they can see someone who goes AWOL when it gets a bit hard.

Important player for Villa, because he does fight fires, but he's not going into the trenches for anyone. Hasn't gone unnoticed at Bodymoor either."

I just think he's naturally injury-prone and so understandably has little confidence in his physical resilience. But either way, I agree we'd be better off selling him.

Shame, because he's a good player.

Takes one to know one I suppose.

He doesn’t half talk some bollocks at times does Stan. The fucking last one to talk about disappearing acts.

Onana can be a very useful option for us, with his ability to send out a long leg to tackle, aerial presence in both boxes, etc, And he has been improved this season. But his unreliability means he’ll only ever be an option, albeit a good one to have. If we manage to get champions league, rather than sell him, I’d simply look to spend a wedge on a young, dynamic midfielder with quality who will be a certain starter. It’s a good way to improve the squad if Onana becomes a squad player, thus allowing us to manage his and Kamara’s inevitable unavailability at points over a season.
