Being judged by medical experts not to be completely ready for the intensity of elite-level football is not the same as "throwing a sickie".

On that note, it’s surprisingly rare players are unavailable due to man flu or the stuff that prevents most people from sitting at a desk. Is that because they’re superfit, exist in medically clean conditions, or just because they’re outside most the day.

Isn't it far more likely that he might be alright to play following an minor injury that kept him out of our last match, or he might not? And at the moment they don't really one way or the other.

Not everything has to be "mind games".

The fact he’s training is obviously a good sign. He can’t be far off.

He doesn’t really respect the media so often misses out which players are injured at pre match press conferences and answers questions the way he wants to rather than directly.

Fully expect him to play tomorrow, either from the bench or the start.
