My solution is to add Bogarde into midfield and let Doug (and Onana to an extent) play with more freedom. I think we need to win the midfield battle first so having three in there should help.

The fact Brendia, Sancho and Bailey have been so inconsistent just supports the swap in my opinion.

This is what I think too.

It’s probably not. It might seem like that, but on the flip side how inert are we as an attacking force when we can’t play out from the back. It’s probably no less match defining to lose your attacking shape - that’s not all Mings vs Torres, but it’s a big contributing factor.

Yep quite agree

5 at the back is the solution.

What's your opinion on Onana's ability on the ball?

I think he can be good on the ball, but it’s an area he needs to be more consistent with.

Been really disapointed with Onana since the rest of the midfield got injured - when really ineffectual,  No surging runs, no break up of play.  Was really hoping he would step up - particularly because he had some excellent performance prioir to that.

He looks lost without a sernior partner.  If he wants to move to a club above us (which I dont have an issue with) - he has a long way to go.  Currently - McGinn, Youri, Kamara and Probably Luiz all look better operators.

Agree , and it means a change of system but we need to start winning the midfield battle or this run will continue.

Onana is playing more conservative with Dougie beside him. He has to. Maybe a Bogarde or Barkley in the six will allow him to be more dominant. Unai does have options and I hope he doesn't persist with Onana and Dougie for much longer.

Agree it does not look like a good combination. Both were poor Saturday.

Still in disbelief he took that extra touch at that stage of the game, just hit the bloody thing!

Looked ok first half, was bullied by a bunch of fucking midgets in the second half. Doesn't punch his weight.

These last few weeks have been his chance to step up and show what he’s made of. I’ve seen nothing but below par performances. We needed him to do a McGinn and take games by the scruff of the neck. Really disappointed with him.
