Not sure she was that much better than Leat in what was a pretty poor defensive unit for most of the season all told….hopefully bagged a couple of quid for her

Aston Villa Women have a new signing from Arsenal (don't know whether she is any good or not)

Aston Villa Women are delighted to announce the signing of Sabrina D’Angelo following the expiry of her contract at Arsenal.

The 31-year-old joins on a two-year deal having spent the last season-and-a-half with the Gunners.

D’Angelo, who is currently with the Canadian national team at this summer’s Olympic Games, becomes Robert de Pauw’s fourth summer signing.

The experienced goalkeeper also enjoyed previous spells with Toronto Lady Lynx, Western New York Flash, North Carolina Courage and Vittsjö GIK.

D’Angelo registered 15 appearances in all competitions with Arsenal.

Lee Billiard, Head of Women’s Football said: “We are excited to bring Sabrina to Aston Villa Football Club.

“She is an experienced goalkeeper that will help drive standards and create great competition within the goalkeeping unit.

“With her history of winning at both domestic and international level, we believe Sabrina is a perfect fit for helping us move forward.”

When I Googled her I just assumed she was going to be from some mad place like America. Who names their kid Missy Bo?

Anyway, welcome Missy Bo!
