Annoying, but that's got to be worth a few bob, for those who gamble.

WTF are the "Big Seven" if we are not classed in there?

Exactly. The Sky 6 have added Newcastle.

Yep. Ladbrokes have us as 8th favourites to win the league, it is what it is, we'll just have to prove them wrong again.

Ladbrokes aren't insulting us, that's their algorithm and is based on how people are betting. SkyBet have invented a new category to ignore our achievements in the last two years, the twats.

I can just about understand them having 'big 6' as a term to keep the Sky subscriber simpletons happy, but to randomly add Newcastle and make it a big 7 is weird as fuck.

"Big Six" is, unfortunately, a thing. In terms of the TV deal, it's written in that each broadcaster gets a certain number of "Big Six" games with said sextet defined as Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Man U and Tottenham.

There is also a requirement to give each broadcaster a share of "Big Eight" games... this is the aforementioned six plus the best two others based on past two seasons. Can't be arsed to check, but I'd be amazed if that wasn't us and Newcastle.

"Big Seven" isn't a thing. They've clearly just done that to keep Newcastle fans happy, and in doing so deprived themselves of money (Newcastle fans can't bet on Newcastle in a market that excludes Newcastle).

The twats.

How's that work then, you lose money if we finish higher than 8th?

My understanding is that you double your money (our odds are 1/1) if we finish highest of the teams listed i.e. excluding the "Big 7".

Ah right. Palace had a brilliant end to last season but we'll see how they cope losing Olise. Surprised Brighton are head of West Ham in the odds. West Ham will likely have a solid season with Lopetegui while Brighton have got a 15 year old in charge so can see them getting established back in the bottom half now.

We're the same odds to win the Premier League as the Champions League. Both are being offered at 50/1.

I am absolutely furious about this. I'm taking it all the way to Esther Rantzen.
