Football still has fans calling players 'poofs' when they don't jump up after a challenge. People still use homophobic slurs in general usage.

Why shouldn't a positive example be set? Why shouldn't the club be demonstrably inclusive?

The bloke a couple of rows behind us at the Brighton game was particularly offended by the sexuality of all their fans.

Anecdotes like these are why rainbow laces, pride kits, etc are still needed. Personally I'd love for anyone who's interested to feel welcomed and safe in a football stadium but we're nowhere near that yet.

There are some right categories and "winners". Chelsea won the Sustainability Award. I'm assuming they plant a tree for every player they sign.
We were also Silver behind Spurs for best Football Stadium Experience. Take that Arne.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I was non-plussed, but I'm not entirely plussed either.

Brighton are charging £25 for tours of their refurbished training centre in Lancing. There's a lot of bad feeling down here like with Heck and Villans.

Presumably the only people paying for tours of training grounds are people who want a tour of the training ground? It's completely optional and unnecessary. Did they used to let people in for free or something?

I dont think they used to do it at all. Seems to be the latest in a line of revenue-grabs that the cuddly club wasn't previously engaged in.
