Looking at the collar detail, we're different than all the other Adidas kits as we have more, and narrower stripes.

It says in the kit description that we've done that as a nod to our early kits.

Yep, but also shows we're not just an identikit. The small details matter.

Absolutely, it shows that, despite the late switch, we're seen as important enough to deserve some bespoke work rather than just a template kit as many worried we might get.

Could it be either Stephen ‘Tin-Tin’ Duffy or even less likely Spizz, in keeping with the musical celebrity theme?

Pictures from the launch day here;

https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2024/july/23/Fans-clamour-for-new-adidas-home-kit-at-Villa-Park-launch/

The banner photo looks very much like a child with gambling advertised across his chest.

Age might be borderline, I guess, but if i were the club's web agency, not sure I'd have risked that
If the lad is eighteen and they know it then they are not risking anything really. Apart from 'He looks young!"

Got to VP around 3:00pm and still over 2 hours wait. I spoke to a guy who'd queued for 4 hours and got the shirt. He told me that only 4 staff were serving and they were running low on Champions League logos. I decided to leave and go back when they've restocked.

Hope not, it might mean our away kit is similar to Belgium's.

I bought the kit from JD Sports in Birmingham today - I got to VP about 11am and was told it could take 2 hours to get to the front and no guarantee that the sizes I need would be available. So hopped down to JD.

There’s loads left in JD In the Bullring. Including the pro version. I’m a bit confused about the two kits looking up close. The pro one looks better in most ways but cheaper in others. Namely the stripes on the shoulders.

Been in town today, popped into JD to have a look and have to say the quality is better than i thought and miles better than Castore. Colours not too bad in the flesh, a deep claret. The badge isn't the best with the yellow and drop shadow but overall it looks pretty decent .

I agree.. I would've thought that the stitched stripes on the shoulders and a embroidered badge would've been a premium. That said, I ordered the standard kit.. if the Pro is that much better, I'll get it in the away or third kit.
