I see no good reason why we can't reveal the kit, and sell it now, but with customers knowing it won't be shipped until the start of August? Sure, people can't go and put their hands on it in the store, but I'm sure there would be plenty of people who would buy it now knowing it would be delivered on 1st August.

The reality is, 99% of the people who would buy one now, would likely buy one on 1st August anyway, I just think fans would be "happier" if they could see and buy it now, even if they can't put it on for a couple of weeks.

All the delay does is create unhappy fans and a bit of unnecessary resentment.

Here’s an idea, to ensure that we can get the season after kit out by June 2025 start the process NOW!

My understanding is that they have, and have brought in Luke Roper as a Villa fan-based design consultant.

When it does land let’s hope it’s nothing like the Chelsea kit. It’s quite a bit different. Almost as bad as the SHA paintball shirt.

Schools break up for summer on Friday, mass migration of West Midlands families to the seaside and all over Europe and no new shirt on the shelves. As bad as ever in terms of giving the punters what they want

Why would you buy one now, when in a few months they will be offering 20% + off deals.

It is surprising that they cannot just show a photo of the strips.

Looks like someone has come across the tie dye in the cupboard under the sink.

I guess with lead times as they are, and the unexpected nature of the deal with Castore finishing early, it's not exactly a surprise there's a delay. Add in the Store getting a facelift too and you can see why there may be hold-ups along the way.

Having said that, it's yet another year where the product is later than would be ideal, summer holidays are touch and go (our schools break up on Friday) and you do wonder whether they realise the loss of full-price kit sales.

Let's just hope it's as good as we'd hope adidas to be, and that there's lots, and lots available on release day; the last thing we need is for orders to take weeks to ship.

I ordered the Euro24 semi/final football at the end of last week from adidas direct (I got caught up in the moment and figured the lids would love it) and it was supposed to be delivered on Sunday. It hasn't even been dispatched yet, so now I want to cancel the order. I hope it's not a sign of things to come from adidas.

I buy quite a bit of Adidas kit (trainers and other running stuff) and their customer service is abysmal. And they use Evri to deliver stuff, so even when it is dispatched, it's on a wing and a prayer what address it actually gets delivered to, and when.

I'd imagine if we're trying to become a globally recognised brand, the marketing guys won't be overly concerned with the summer holidays in England. Rightly or wrongly.

As an aside, I always forget how late the holidays are in the UK. Irish second level have been off for 6 weeks already.

I'd think if you were a marketing guy, you'd want them in the shops as soon as possible, alongside the other big teams' shirts.

There was a lot of bravado about our marketing, adidas and the new kit in May. There was a tweet during the game with Palace. But the same problem has persisted, despite all the guff

I've bought lots of stuff from Adidas recently, and had to return two pairs of trainers twice while working out what size fits me.

I've found the service to be good!

I've found their trainers always run about ½ a size too small, personally. I'm an 11 usually, always get an 11½ with them.

Yeah, and the size chart thing on the website didn't help. But they're definitely a bit smaller.

They have some really nice ones too. I bought two pairs, plus a pair for the fella, and have my eye on another two pairs...  :-[
