One of the most anticipated kit reveals I can remember and we seem to get later and later.

I'm not a kit buyer myself so what do I know, but I'd think anticipation for the new season starting, especially this year, is the best time to launch a kit. I know a few on here have said they like to buy one for their holidays or whatever, but an August launch, with a few exciting new signings to model it, seems like good business to me.

We wont be playing in the new kit v Walsall

Planned launch/unveiling is for when were in the states

So not released until the end of July then? Fucking useless!

Totally agree.

The only clubs who haven't launched their new kits are:

Villa
Bournemouth
Brentford - because last year's kit is for two years
Everton
Southampton

So only three other clubs haven't released their new kits yet, and all of our main competitors at the top of the table have. It's a joke.

Heck did say that the US tours are good for kit launches in his last interview.
In what way

It's easier for the 'top' clubs to get them out quicker as most of the time they are locked into long deals with both sponsor and supplier. Whereas we change supplier and sponsor nearly as often as sha do managers. Hopefully we can settle into longer deals now we're not crap.

Will NASA launch a rocket into space with shirt stretched around it to the ISS? That streamed on the Tube sponsored by Cheetos and Mountain Dew and I'm in agreeance.

We announced the deal in May, but presumably it was agreed long before this but could only be revealed once the season was over and Castore couldn't complain. Surely it's not beyond the wit of one of the biggest sports companies in the world to get our kits out a bit more quickly? I reckon most of sales are loaded into the summer and the first couple of months of the new season, (with a spike for Christmas), so the longer you have to sell them in the summer, the more units you'll shift.

Here’s an idea, to ensure that we can get the season after kit out by June 2025 start the process NOW!

Are our competitors at the top of the table in direct competition with us for jersey sales? I'd assume there's nobody out there thinking will I buy am Arsenal kit or a Villa kit, and going Arsenal because they're in the shops.

We only bank a small percentage of each shirt sale, so the big losers if we did lose sales because of a late launch is the kit supplier. In reality any loss would be small as the vast majority who would buy one today if it was available will still buy one in August when it is released.

I think that we get a big increase in our payment if we hit a sales threshold, off the top of my head it was 300k shirts.

I think it depends on leadtimes of the items too. I bet they’re shipped in from the east, so there will be something like a 12 week delay even once they’re manufactured.

No idea about material leadtimes into the manufacturers, but that will have an impact.

^ this is my thinking on it.

If there's a new market to be tapped into its the US one while the team is there. Having the kit officially launched while the team are there is a great opportunity.
