In terms of Disabled supporters parking issue, never have I been so glad to be out of date.  Well done Villa you can do it! ( The world can change a lot in the time it takes this old fart to type!).

I’m not sure I’d be giving the club too much credit. They’ve reversed course, fair enough, but they still made the decision in the first place.

Unfortunately this whole sorry pricing saga / disaster is not only going to leave our sour taste with the loyal fans but it's also now mainstream football media news and will overshadow the games . Heads need to roll for this (as in P45's) . We know Sawaris doesn't fuck about if he needs to and that time has arrived again .

Can’t imagine that vindictively rinsing the disabled, will have impressed any of our potential sponsors.

The short sighted greed is surely not worth the PR disaster that has unfolded this week. More worrying that a sane voice at the club could  not see how this was going to unfold. If the club had given a discounted bundle of 4 matches they would have been praised and none of this would have happened. Surely the short fall in income could have been more than supplemented by corporate sponsorship  across the 4 CL games.

The one silver lining to this grey cloud of ineptitude is the behaviour of Lee Preece. He's putting up with an absolute shitstorm of complaints, working every waking hour and somehow keeping both his temper and his mind. He's an absolute credit to the club and the only one who is emerging with any credit.

I was out  most of yesterday so only caught little tit bits of the disabled debacle and i've only just got round to reading it all properly. What a clusterfuck of an idea that was. He/they must have thought 'well, we're a champions league club now so they can pay more'. Utterly ridiculous and well done on the journalist who called it out.

Lee Preece is the 2nd best ever for Villa - only beaten by Paul McGrath.

Met Lee Preece a couple of times, nice chap. I bet he's glad it's an international weekend. He deserves a pint.

I met Lee a few times and he's a great fella. He's been at the club years and you'll be hard pressed to find a bad word about him or a fan having a bad experience after contacting him. There's a reason new owners keep him on while replacing other roles.

I don't think for one minute they didn't know a shit storm was coming and they decided to go with it anyway, and it's coming right from the top.

Pretty sure the owners would not have pissing off the punters and trashing the brand on ay agenda.
It’s even got on LinkedIn now.

They most likely underestimated the backlash. How likely is that in a summer we spent a chunk of change on the ground, are preparing for the CL, had hundreds of millions in transfers in and out, player contracts, were facing a points deduction etc that the owners spent it blissfully unaware of what the plans for the club they've spent hundreds of millions on were?

It's not separate though, it's still based on the criteria.

They changed the way away game criteria, there are 1 of 2 reasons for this 1. Make it more open to other fans (this hasn't happened as points or games attended would still be the same people) or 2. This is most likely to manipulate the system so that they can get GA+ season ticket holders in by giving them more points than GA season ticket holders so they jump to the front of the queue
