If emailing Lee Preece please don't take it on him. He's a really good bloke that works very hard for Villa, and fans, and he didn't set the prices.

My excitement for this competition died in an instant this afternoon. The club are an absolute disgrace. Those of us that sat through those dire afternoons for a decade only get a kick in the bollocks with this take it or leave it price hike.

Emails to the club are one thing, but we really could do with some kind of message from all of the various fan groups ASAP.  We are getting loads of support across other clubs message boards, social media and mainstream press today, we need to make some proper noise about this and force a climbdown.  If we do and there isn't any reduction then I suspect Everton next Saturday is going to be very interesting and instructive for Heck and the board.

Yep word is out & loud.

Totally agree on the misreading the room, the Oasis fandango and the Govt looking into people being ripped off definitely boosts this story.

I'm thinking I won't go to any league cup or FA cup games to help cover the budget.  But then there's FOMO if we get to a final and you need history to get a ticket.

It was the first time it even occurred to me that I might not go to all the home games.  Before today that was unthinkable.  Now I'm at 2-3 max.

I’m surprised by nothing to do with football now. Football will eat itself in this country if it’s not careful, as it did in Italy in the 90’s.
Paying players 100’s of thousands a week and charging the fan more to do it may seem great to the media outlets that promote it but it’s not sustainable.

The clubs can't keep up with player inflation - transfer fees, agents and wages. It is and will continue to kill the top level of the game. It is heading more and more to an American sports model. If you think football players get paid well, check out a top NFL, NBA player contract...

Now add in Saudi to the mix - Toney, £400k a week..

I used to laugh at Twitter accounts that highlighted extortionate concession prices at US sports venues like £15  for a can of gnats piss beer. Now I realise that's all coming here.

The club will make a fortune just by playing in this competition - why the hell are these people so greedy that they need to price the fans out of enjoying it.
I really do hate this club I love.

I was hoping to go to Bayern, Juve, maybe Celtic. Now only Juve. I'd be amazed if Bologna sells out.

Yeah, it's one of the three for me, just on point of principle.
