I always wonder why supporters would have an issue with a long haired male player be it own club , opposition or rival team

It's a story as old as time. Anything physical that marks you out as different can be seized-upon by tribes.

I wonder if ever come a time if people accepted each other and not insist on things as different or as normal
I pray for that day!

If Marilyn sticks (and I pray to god that it doesn't) that doesn't mean we're all going to start singing Candle In The Wind does it?

But giving a male player a female name as a nickname, is ok?

Wasn't John Wayne's real name Marilyn?

So true, why can't people use my actual name instead of calling me 'donkey schlong'? :(

What was the deal with Henri Lansbury being nick named after an actress
It's different rules apply?

Because a) Lansbury is not a common name, and she's the only other famous person with that name most people can think of; b) he (Lansbury) was a mediocre and sometimes poor player so a silly/mildly insulting nickname is more appropriate than using it for a kid who has just come through our youth system; c) His surname is MUnroe, not MOnroe.

Is that enough explanation for you?
