If you have your season ticket on your phone, double check it's still there.

A colleague just told me his had gone, and when I checked mine has too.

That doesn't sound good. Didn't we once have a game at Villa Park against Liverpool that got seriously delayed due to big queues outside where there was some technical problem?

It looks like it is set to expire today, so the iPhone hides it. You can go and Unhide it and it comes back up. But we will see if it still works at the gate!

Has there ever been a bigger match-day thread? It doesn't bode well.

Everton 2-0 Liverpool people didn't expect that did they.
That was Monday night football in a important game for home side!

Mine had gone into my expired passes so I got it back out again.

League Cup, big queues outside, something to do with Ticketmaster, very cold night, early 2000s, we lost narrowly. That's the extent of my recollections.

Tonight's clash between Aston Villa and Liverpool promises to be a thrilling encounter! Aston Villa has shown incredible form this season, with their attacking prowess and solid defense making them a force to be reckoned with. However, facing Liverpool, a team known for their relentless style of play and star-studded lineup, will undoubtedly be a tough challenge.

While Aston Villa has the potential to pull off an upset, Liverpool's experience and quality might give them the edge. Nonetheless, in football, anything can happen, and Aston Villa will surely give their all to secure a victory. It's bound to be an exciting match that fans won't want to miss!

I thought I'd see what ChatGPT would say about the match tonight.
Just missing ‘its a game of two halves’.

Can there be a Greavsie chat gtp, ‘funny ole game’ and all that

League Cup Dec 2002. Finally kicked off after 9pm. I'm sure Doug did an announcement on the PA which didn't go down well. I also remember an announcement near the end of normal time for the Liverpool fans that there would be no extra trains back to Liverpool so they were fucked. We made it 3-3 near the end, they scored a winner right at the end of normal time.

And the delay was down to the club not expecting thousands to turn up and buy tickets on the night making it close to capacity, we didn't have enough ticket staff to deal with that and pre-ordered ticket collection. Doug blamed fans for turning up rather than the club for not having enough staff.
