Mcginn talking about they owe fans one more big performance and want to qualify themselves. Just hope they actuallg leave up to it and not like diaby who did alot of talking before olympiakos but on the putch he was hopeless.

Need more talking on pitch

I don't believe for one second that anyone isn't trying, in fact I'd say they are trying really hard.

Fatigue is killing them.

I did wonder if the likes of Tielemans and Zaniolo might have been fit enough to have played last Thursday had we already secured 4th, but we're held back to be ready for tonight instead.

I think they'd at least have been on the bench if that was the case. Unai has picked people nowhere near fitness to be with the subs before, so if they're not in the squad you can pretty well guarantee they're still crocked I reckon.

I don’t think he was doing “a lot of talking” before the game. Just think he was taking part in media obligations and couldn’t really say “we’ll try, but we are all absolutely fucked”.

Extra days rest will have helped.

In the papers this am saying Zani Tielemans Moreno in contention but Bailey a problem.

I suspect that is more journo's guesses. There might be something mid-morning or so with anything official from the clubs although I'm guessing ours will still be vague.

A midfield of SJM, Luiz, Tielemans and Zaniolo, with Diaby upfront with Ollie looks a bit better....

Would be very handy if Zaniolo could reprise his torture of Ben White for the Liverpool right back

I'm veering from confident to shitting it.  But if we line up with a proper midfield (one that doesn't have Matt Cash in it) then that'll be great.

What a way it'd be to qualify for the CL.  C'mon boys, make it happen.

I have fancied us in this one for some time, until this morning when I woke up thinking that we're going to get hammered. So it'll probably be a draw.

Whatever the result, the lap of appreciation is likely to be a bit poor, most people will be dashing off home I would imagine.

After the Olympiacos game I was convinced we wouldn’t score another goal this season. Today I feel we will get something out of the game. Hopefully we find our best form.

Hopefully they'll at least make the bench after the few days rest then. But obviously I'm not optimistic.

Other than injuries the main bit that is worrying me is that Liverpool play a style that has specifically caused us big problems this season. High intensity and high press was present in both Newcastle games, Liverpool away, the Chelsea cup game and the second half in the Premier League. They’re almost tailor made bad opponents for us, even if we’re at our best. We will need to buck both the trend of recent performances and our struggles against this side of play to win this.
