"To "funeral" Liverpool, Aston Villa would need to capitalize on their opponent's weaknesses while playing to their own strengths. Here are some strategies Aston Villa might consider:

Exploit defensive vulnerabilities: Liverpool has shown vulnerability in defense at times, particularly with injuries to key defenders. Aston Villa could look to exploit any gaps in Liverpool's backline by pressing high up the pitch and exploiting any lapses in concentration.

Utilize pace and creativity: Aston Villa possesses players with pace and creativity, such as Jack Grealish and Ollie Watkins. They could look to utilize their attacking talents to stretch Liverpool's defense and create scoring opportunities.

Be clinical in front of goal: Against a team like Liverpool, opportunities may be limited, so Aston Villa would need to be clinical with their finishing. Taking advantage of any chances that come their way could be crucial in securing a favorable result.

Stay organized defensively: While focusing on attacking, Aston Villa must also remain disciplined defensively to prevent Liverpool from capitalizing on counter-attacks or set-piece situations.

Play with confidence: Confidence can play a significant role in football matches. If Aston Villa can start the game with belief in their abilities and maintain a positive mindset throughout, it could give them the edge they need to secure a memorable victory.

Of course, football matches are unpredictable, and there are no guarantees of success. However, by implementing these strategies effectively, Aston Villa could increase their chances of "funeraling" Liverpool"

I would certainly employ this thing over Wayne Rooney.

Apart from even Wayne might know who currently plays for us.

Would be very handy if Zaniolo could reprise his torture of Ben White for the Liverpool right back

You mean, the person they call "Trent" ?
That's not what I call him.

what is wrong with calling him Arnold !!!

Well, he's double-barrelled. A cruel affliction.

- Hey Arnold!
- Move it, 'Football Head'!

One for the late 90s Nickolodeon kids there...

I'm not filled with much hope today; though I suspect they may rest some players, and use some young ones with plenty of energy to run us around and then the big guns later to finish us off.

They are just playing for points now, as 3rd is their spot, so I'm hoping for a good performance from us, I just can't see us having the energy required.

We should do same. Maybe give kesler tim or kellyman a start
Yeah cos we've got nothing to play for either..

There are loads of them flogging tickets on twitter for the anti-climax of Klopp's last away game.

Just had a random Liverpool fan message me:

Him: The football shirt is cool, as a Liverpool fan think it's going to be our day this weekend.  ;D
Me: How do you mean?
Him: A win for Liverpool over Aston Villa
Me: I don't think that's happening at the weekend  :P
Him: Haha ;D I think it is  ;D well hope so... please no 7-0 though  >:(

The vast majority are scams. There's the same kind of posts for every Villa game. And I assume most/all other PL sides.

Just search 'Villa Liverpool tickets' on Twitter and it would seem the majority of seats in the ground are up for sale with the amount of posts offering tickets.

I did think that when they were taking a £50 quid hit on each ticket.

Playing Liverpool tonight is technically a Champions league tie
Liverpool are pot one
We are pot four.

Could be looking back at this next season in the knockouts and saying, Remember that Watkins brace beating Liverpool in our final home game of the season to establish ourselves as Champions League club!
And well I say same again!

So, if that's true, technically the current European Champions are.....

Aberdeen, undefeated since beating Ross County at the end of March. It's swapped around a few times since Man City won it, but includes Hearts, Aberdeen (twice) Dortmund, Celtic, Rangers, Frankfurt, Bayern and Newcastle.
