Maybe they just aren't very good.
Yeah, or not able to do the job he wants them to.  I think its probably more about "fit" rather than ability.  Hence why Rogers has done well because he "fits" into the way we want to play.  Maybe the youth players don't.

As it stands, this team isn't winning another game this season. They're out on their feet. Blood the bench now. The kids can't do any worse and you jut never know.

If we'd won today that's probably what would have happened but even with Spurs losing again, we need a result from at least one more game, so can't see us playing the B team anytime soon.

Probably have a good idea seeing them in training every day though.

We’re running on fumes , unable to get the ball forward nowhere as quickly as we did in our Autumnal pomp.
2 more points will probably get us over the line but that’s no mere formality at present given our tiredness.

Well I think Mr De Zerbi sums it up perfectly

"I'm proud because we played a great game against one of the best teams in the Premier League. They are fourth and playing against Unai Emery is very tough. We played a good game and deserved to win.

"We could have scored more goals but, to be honest, Villa were not the true Villa. Maybe they were tired. I can understand that because they played on Thursday evening and they have a lot of injuries. For that, they couldn't be the true Aston Villa.

"We played very well in the defensive phase but in the offensive phase as well, we created a lot of chances to score. We made mistakes in the last part of the pitch, we have to be better, but we are unlucky because [Robin] Olsen was the best player for Villa."

I thought that before the Arsenal game and we pulled one hell of a performance.

It’s going to take another heroic effort on Thursday and home against Liverpool though. It would be nice to finish this season off with some good form and fun, they have given so many reasons to be happy, it’s probably me being spoilt, but it would be fantastic for the players, manager and coaching staff too.

I feel we've got one more win in us before the end of the season: where it'll come from, I have absolutely no idea!

It’s been a long old season and inevitably, it’s catching up with us but it shouldn’t detract from what has, overall, been incredible progress. We are way outperforming our resources and now, if we can summon one final push to get over the line we’ll be duly rewarded.

Yeah i know what you mean but you dont really know until you give them chances. Their confidence must be shot to bits.

Well that looked like our worst performance of the season and losing rogers just to put the tin fcuking hat on it.  We’ve no chance in Greece based on this.  How many times did Watkins actually touch the ball?
When he did it cannoned off his shin.

Liverpool home and Palace away. Not confident about either of those. And wouldn't it be just like Spurs to turn up and beat City. Just have to pray that Arsenal beat Utd on the 12th - then City will have to pull it all out against Spurs on the 14th. If not, their race is pretty well won. Still nerve-wracking.

 A strange weekend.
One team wins and get relegated to the 3rd division.
Another team loses and move ever close to playing in the European Cup for the first time in 41 years.

Spawny Vilers!   ;D

Sounds obvious but I think if we can overturn Olympiakos' lead oh Thursday and make the final it will lift everyone for the Liverpool game. Last home game of the season too, so really should be up for at least a draw.

I'd love for us to do it ourselves but I'll absolutely take Spurs blowing it for themselves and our results not mattering.
