Wouldn't it be nice to have the absolute luxury today, when shuffling the squad, to have brought in say, Emi Martinez, Tyrone Mings, Kamara, JJ, Tielemans and  Buendia.

Not an excuse Emery would ever use and not one I am really making either, just a wistful thought.

Was looking for a reaction from Thursday but not that one. We weren’t even pedestrian. I get that they’re tired etc but come on, that really wasn’t acceptable.

If we had all those players fit, and playing like they did the end of last season, then I think we would be pushing for the title. But it also would have been nice if he had trusted in some younger players to give players a rest as well and maybe not trying square pegs too many times.

I would expect our expected goals will be the lowest of the season, the only time we might have scored was when Ollie, instead of shooting, decided to take a man on and if McGinn had been quicker going out, he would have been onside. Well done to Olsen, MOTM, very unlucky with the goal, initially a brilliant penalty save.

Being tired is no excuse for people with their remuneration.

They’re not going an important job.

Nah, the top three are a fair way ahead of us. We're massively over-achieving. Newcastle have been probably more battered by injuries than us, Chelsea are belatedly showing they will be a force to reckon with next season and Yanited will be if they get rid of their manager and coaching staff. We had to get top four this season or we'd probably be locked-out for another generation.

It’s okay to be pissy with your comments. I can see how my comment can be torn apart. But collectively forgetting how to pass a ball is basic stuff.

We’ll still get 4th.

We had no Emi Martinez, Tyrone Mings, Kamara, JJ, Tielemans, Buendia and Zanilio, Rogers went off, and Moreno only just back.

Clearly, he doesn't rate many of the youth players enough to chuck them in, and who are we to say differently.  If they were good enough they would be playing.

He is out of options, and the players that we have are out on there feet.

I agree about your comments about the youngsters. Kesler and i think tim will be moved on. Kellyman will be loaned out.

Just amazes me unai has little faith in them when we have exhausted players out there

I think Kellyman is the only one he really likes the look of.  I think he doesn't rate tim's mindset (if that makes sense).  I think he is ready or capable to do what Unai wants him to do.  Which is completely different to whether he is any good.

As it stands, this team isn't winning another game this season. They're out on their feet. Blood the bench now. The kids can't do any worse and you jut never know.
