I get that people say we miss Kamara... but we didn't miss him that much when McGinn was in there, and I was one of the ones who wanted Tim playing there but he made me eat humble pie. I don't really understand not switching Tielemans and McGinn around.

Konsa really isn’t a very good right bsck.

I would much rather ser Hayden there and Konsa put back in his best position

At this point im thinking so too. Carlos is such a liability and fod me him and pau at cb  dont compliment each other very well.

Id look to ship carlos out in summer tbh and get someone else in

I agree.

Carlos is generally frightening, and seems to have a similar effect on the rest of the defence as when they see Olsen behind them.

Just hasnt looked the same since that big injury for me. He looks nervy and has lost a load of his pace. I also agree with your other points too.

Think we need a right sided cb who is a lot more dominating in the air

We all know that Unai will be working hard to sort out the defensive issues but he is nowhere near finding a solution. Sides can cut through our midfield too easily and we are too slow at the back.

Some of our passing and movement in the final third has been clever and crisp but we have to tighten up. Lille are, as expected, a very good side.

You'd hope/expect that Unai can make a few tweaks at HT to our formation/shape etc at HT to sort out the few problems we've had.

Will Lille sit back, be happy being 1-0 down, try and hold us goalless in the 2nd half whilst trying to get one on the break?

Or will they push more - might leave gaps

We could win this 3 or 4 nil if we were a bit more careful in possession. Every attack promising until it breaks down with a careless pass.

We had three or four chances that on another day would have seen us cruising into the next round. Poor finishing from Watkins and Bailey plus the brilliance of King Emi have kept Lille in the game. They play some decent stuff, much like us in many ways but they move the ball faster. Fortunately we have better players.

Fonseca their coach turned us down a few years ago, though I can't remember exactly when.

They'll have a go in the last 20 minutes if it's still 1-0, will be a nervous end.
