We didn't go 2-0 up against Burnley at home.

Beat me to it. He’ll probably change that to ‘I meant a one goal lead twice’. His criteria for how crap we are changes more than the Villa’s back four.

He always changes the rules for his argument when each one was picked apart. I remember then he was stating about Spurs injuries and named Sessgenon as theirs in the same post stating we have to ignore Mings and Buendia because they were injured at the start of the season. He might have a good reason for not posting during the first half of the season, but the negativity to Villa, and positivity given to every other club, especially from when the season has started to tell on the squad does make me wonder.

Im presenting my arguments and instead of arguing the points (because you cant as ive presented mainly facts barring burnley which we took lead twice in that game and let burnley back in which supports my argument regardless)

You have instead chosen to twist something from months ago and pick up on a small error in the post and not debate the rest of the post. Shows you have lost the debate.

I hope you have ignored my posts because its pointless debating with you. Your just on a windup clearly and trying to provoke a reaction.

We didn't go 2-0 up against Burnley at home.

And the rest of my post ? Fancy responding to that ?

Lost interest as soon as I saw you got something so basic incorrect. When scores that didn't happen and scores that 'almost' happened are a big part of your stats then all credibility is lost.

Exactly you lose - you cant bothered means you cant argue it as you know ive got a point. That same game against Burnley we took the lead twice so my point still remains correct even though i acknowledge it wasnt a 2 goal slip. People make errors have you never made a mistake?

The fact you think there's a winner and loser in a football debate on the internet says far more about you than anything I could.

Why are we running on empty?
For the reasons I described in my post.

OK, but whats the evidence for it? You speculate there is fatigue, how do you know? What are you seeing that suggests tired?

I don't think it is controversial that playing so well first half of the season, then losing squad members a lot more second half (plus 10 extra games then say Spurs) has meant the squad might be feeling it. Emery is trying to rest some players at the moment like he did against City for a similar reason, to ensure they don't plummet off the cliff on performances for the last potential eleven games.

It's a pretty fundamental mistake to make, though, when you're banging on about letting two goal leads slip and choose to evidence it with a game in which we didn't let a two goal lead slip.

And how does the logic of "we took the lead twice so my point still remains correct even though I acknowledge it wasn't a two goal slip" stand up? They are two different things entirely.

If your point is that something happened that actually did not happen then, no, your point does not remain correct.

You've clearly dug yourself into a big hole.

If I were you, I'd extract myself from it as easily as possible and thus give myself the least stress possible (normally, I just decided to ignore the thread in question for a day until it has moved on).

Or you could do what Tim does when people accuse him of being the former, banned posters Cooper's Injury and SihillVillain and just ignore the posts whilst still posting on the thread

*wink*

I wouldn't disagree. Injuries take their toll in degrading the overall quality or losing players that have specific functions that cannot be compensated elsewhere, but fatigue is a separate issue. I don't see it.

Or, "your winner" as would be most appropriate in Demitri's case.

I don't have "evidence" I don't actually work for the club. I'm merely speculating in response to a post questioning why Brentford seemed to have bags more energy than us.

I posted what 6-7 games and one error out of them has been focus while rest of post was generally ignored.  That burnley game we did let a leaf slip twice which highlights the point km trying to make. Two issues i think we are having when we concede 1st we usually lose and that we are getting too comfortable with leads and shooting ourselves in the foot!

We need more wolves type performances. Those are the ones that for me are where we look most comfortable  🙂
