From Boxing Day onwards those reminders have been coming with increased frequency. We've been shaky / erratic ever since that Sheffield Utd game (1-1)We have been losing players for several matches at a time since then so any wonder? We didn't have Torres or Kamara in that one for example.

Sometimes we need reminding that we're still the Villa. From Boxing Day onwards those reminders have been coming with increased frequency.
The idea is that we don't play like that again.

Fortunately, 7th, and more Conference League, looks assured, pretty much, but any more performances like this and we will struggle for top 5. We ship far too many simple goals, don't keep enough clean sheets, we are often not aggressive enough in the right way. Douglas, you oaf. We must not get cocky when 2-0 up. Really disappointing week. 1 point, 4 scored, 7 conceded. Mate, even with dropping 2 points today, Man United are 12 points back with 1 of their games in hand against Liverpool. West Ham are 12 back on the same games as us with 21 worse goal difference. Both of these teams would need to 5/7 or 6/6 games to even land on the same points as us if we win 1 more game this season and lost all the others.Whatever happens we'll be upgrading the European competition next year.Exactly.Problem is we really need champions league and having been in Pole most of the season if we don't get it and get Europa where the revenue is far less it will feel like a bit of a disaster .

1 to 11 we're a better team than Tottingham with everyone fit (not a luxury we've had this season). But in the games I watched them recently against Brighton, Palarse and Luton at home there was sense of inevitability about them coming back when they went behind. Relentess, chance after chance created. We couldn't nab a goal when we needed it in the closing stages and looked short of ideas. That, married with the defensive fuckeries which have dogged us in the second half of the campaign will probably do for us.
I do hope this coefficient thing that gets top 5 into the CL isn’t reliant on us winning the Europa League.

We really need another right back, because I don't like Konsa there. He constantly loses track of his winger because he's too focused on what's going on to his left, i.e. the place he's more used to being.
I have to say the ref was absolutely woeful today he literally gave every decision to brentford. A very bias performance
