I don’t think we have enough in depth quality wise but it’s definitely not because we haven’t bothered trying. Obviously kneecapped by FFP which is why our owners tried to get things changed.
What we do have is a world class coach that money can’t buy.

It’s UEFA’s SCR more precisely. As I said at the time, what should we do if we had managed to get FFP changed by the Premier League? Target UEFA next?

The transfer window creates this frantic fifa player swap jitters. A few days /weeks ago im looking at the internet numerous times a day, getting more agitated about why we haven’t signed that Dutch defender or whoever Ive never heard of or never seen play.
Better off at 8.15pm enjoying a beer, knowing no one else is coming in, but knowing we have a great manager and the best team most of us have seen in years.

That’s a good point. It’s been a proper struggle having to fit in with UEFA’s financial regulations
even more so that the PL’s.

Indeed. And it’s gonna be the PL new rules the season after this one I think, so we might as well get used to it.

Yeah like everybody says its disapointing - but this group of players have consistently delivered for us over the past 5 years - every time we think they have hit a ceiling they smash through it.

Whatever we achieve this season - we know that I we’ve done the best we can to prepare for it

#FSGOUT trending on X because Liverpool fans are so hard done by. https://x.com/PhilPhenom/status/1829506073948287106

So could be worse, even if our window isn't so much slamming shut as closing gently so as not to wake the baby.

Looks a bit limp wristed to me, we started the window at a pace, full of intention, lost a huge player in Luiz and probably into a second season Diaby would have improved further, both players and more had to be replaced, up against the like of Bayern and Juve, thought we needed another striker and CB, also a wide player and we needed CL experience from somewhere, lets hope we don't let anymore go in the coming hours.

The positives . Onana and Maatsen look class.
Ramsey is back.
Buendia and Mings are close .
Kamara is 3 weeks away.
By October we could look much stronger . Keep the faith .

It’s hardly disastrous is it? Plenty of options in there

Chelsea loan petrovic to one of the clubs they own strasbourg. Why cant we just do same loan dendonker out to vitoria ? Then get chalobah in loan. Dont get it.

If we cant even afford a loan our finances must be a absolute mess

Apparently it has fell through - couldn't even loan a player to themselves

Right back is my only worry - and maybe RCB if Konsa gets crcoked.

The rest is quality, quality and more quality. Mings Buendia and Ramsey are like 3 new signings assuming the former 2 hit their previous levels. All were integral in getting us from 15th to 7th in half a season.

Lots of midfield and attacking in game and substitution options.

We have what half a dozen youngsters out on loan and expect maybe 2 to make the grade come next year. We have medium and long term succession plans, maybe the immediate term could have been slightly better.

In terms of submitting a 25 player squad to the Premier League, Kosta and Bogarde don't need to be included do they, as they're under the age of 21?

So we've got quite a lot space in the squad list that we're choosing to leave empty.
