Coutinho spent his time injured that’s why he was a bad buy not because he was a useless player
Injuries can happen to anyone at any time, just bad luck I’m afraid

His fitness record prior to joining us was a bit suss though too, wasn't it? Or the fact that none of the big clubs fancied him no more.

We took an expensive punt, which we will continue paying til his contract runs out in...2026(?!), and for the most part, it's failed.

With Cash out for a few weeks I hope Kosta gets given a run of starts. I thought he looked decent against Arsenal, and it's time we stopped wrapping so many young prospects in cotton wool, or sending them away to wither on the vine.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou confirmed Giovani Lo Celso and Sergio Reguilon are both looking to leave North London: “Both players are exploring options and I won’t get to involved. There is today and another window

Lo Celso is supposed to be off to Betis. If we have capacity for another loan, I think it's unlikely that we would do it in the position that we are strongest.

Coutinho spending most of his time with us injured was as big a surprise as Richards being crocked with us. If you buy players with regular injury issues then the likely outcome is what we saw.

Trossard roasted Kosta after he came on I thought. I didn't think he combined hardly at all with Bailey either in possession. I'm not criticising the kid, Rogers for one looked a bit lost in his early games too, but starting PL games at his age is a big jump. The worrying thing is we haven't been able to shift Carlos this summer we our options are limited really with Cash injured again and Mings likely still a good way off.

I don't think Bailey has been on his game so far anyway but if Kosta is getting a chance then I think we need McGinn in front of him on that side.

It sounds like both of those could go to the leagues where the deadline is not until end of next week.  Saudi I think is one.

I just checked this thread in the hope of seeing that something was happening, but then I could see it was 'nothing to see here' when I saw discussions about Coutinho.

It doesn't feel like our first team is any stronger than last season which is the disappointment.

Considering we’re in the CL, I think it has been a very poor window for us.

A disappointing window but we've had our hands tied by the rules

We knew that though. It’s why he didn’t play in Germany. I suspect it’s just a case of basically having zero pre season whereas most have had  several weeks

Unai also said that he is very happy with the window and that they did all of their planning in the beginning. Mentioned the importance of Buendia and Ramsey this year.

That's enough for me.
