Buendia can't get minutes cos we are well-covered in his position! You can't use him as an argument about our squad not being strong enough.

I would argue you can because he needs minutes.  He can play cm and the diaby role.  Id rather see buendia than barkley come off the bench to be honest

I'm not sure why we can't do some sort of loan deal for Chalobah as he's only in Chelsea's bomb squad.

We must be a terrible financial state with PSR if we cabt even get a loan in tbh.

I do wonder whether chelsea will come in for duran now toney and oshimen are going saudi arabia

Surely we would have to reject that now as we would have no time to get a replacement in

Maybe he doesn't want Chalobah?

There will be a lot of clubs looking at the Chelsea squad today in terms of loans…whether they want to loan players to clubs they see as direct competition is another thing

It's all a bit grubby, this deadline day nonsense, isn't it?

I'm 100% sure I speak for everyone here when I say we're better off keeping our dignity and staying out of it.

I'd be doing my very best to bring Raheem Sterling in.

CL PSR is more onerous on us with the wages ratio. We'd have probably spent more if we'd not qualified, but that spending may have been on a replacement keeper, a replacement centre forward.

It's probably for the best we can't let rip, as the Saudi sportswashing vehicle in Newcastle would have a place sown up, but it's still might frustrating we cannot flex and have to negotiate the path for arbitrary financial compliance so gingerly.

For a man who used to drone on about Beckford, I'd pipe down.

He may not be first choice, but he'd undeniably be an asset to the squad in positions where we are incredibly light.

Buendia can't get minutes cos we are well-covered in his position! You can't use him as an argument about our squad not being strong enough.

You can if he's not good enough. He was never really a regular even when he was our record signing. I just can't see him being good enough in this massively improved Emery team, especially after a year out.

I think he was good enough especially with Unai getting that extra % out of him, I think he’s the type that would flourish under him and his tactical sessions
Whether he will be good enough after injury is another question, but that is the same for anyone returning from a long absence out of the game

I’m with you on Sterling though if Chelsea are willing to offset some of his wages

Darren was a far far better player than Jermaine

He may not be first choice, but he'd undeniably be an asset to the squad in positions where we are incredibly light.

We have two right backs, four centre backs and two left backs. At least two of the centre backs are capable in other positions across the back four. And a promising 20 year old that they seem to want to integrate into the first team squad who can play at two of those positions as well.

I think an extra body would be definitely be useful but "incredibly light" is over-egging it a bit.
