Odd choice. I would have thought he'd go back to Spain. I've said it before but I would not have thought this time last year that Moreno would be leaving and I'd be fine with it.

I thought he was brilliant post the Leicester debacle in early Feb 2023 and from then on was a winger full back combo like I’d never seen. I was at the 1-1 at Anfield when he did his hamstring badly after a brilliant and brave challenge/clearance, but he’s never really been completely the same since being back.
Also Digne’s form has been largely great and Maatsen looks a talent.

Digne was apparently our highest paid player at the end of the 22/23 season, on 120k. Which is supposed to be why we were looking to shift him last summer. With new signings and new contracts, I'd imagine he's no longer the highest paid, but unless Moreno signed a new deal since his original one, it's not likely he was on 120k.

i read he was on more like £170,000 a week . Slippy G signing. I do think he's a very good player mind .

It's widely reported that Digne is £120k-130k a week, and Moreno £35k a week.

He was on £11k per week at Betis (La Liga player salaries are published). Most places suggest he's on around £35k pw with us.

If Unai can get the best out of him, there is a player in there somewhere, just ask him not to pass the ball out from the back!!

The problem is that- thats the way unai wants his cbs playing. Carlos is not consistent thats the issue. I think we are stuck with him this season. I think he ends up leaving on a free eventually.

 So moreno and illing jr likely to be going too. I think illing jr should stay but moreno can go. All it takes is digne or maatsen getting injured and we are light at lb
