He will only lose value in a year and Forest might well go down, in which case they almost certainly wouldn't be buying him. Suppose we can loan him to someone else next season but that doesn't really help us, or him.

Good luck to him anyway, always gave his all and seems a likeable bloke. He would comfortably be our best left back for most of this century, the fact that he's only third choice shows our progress.

He was never properly fit last season, gets anywhere near the form and fitness when he first joined us and that's a quality signing by Forest. I did think he would have better options, Nuno is never too far away from the sack and their squad seems overloaded in his position.
