Lamar Bogarde is the nephew of Winston Bogarde who played for Chelsea and famously decided to live in Holland and commute to training twice a week for four years, to see out his contract after being told he would not be picked and he should look for another club.
He ended up playing 9 times for Chelsea in 4 years, and collected all his wages around £15m, and said why should he go elsewhere and play for less when Chelsea gave him this contract. "I may be one of the worst buys in the history of the Premiership, but I don't care."

One of that golden generation in the 90s with Reiziger, Davids, Seedorf, Kluivert and Overmars as well as the slightly older Bergkamp and the De Boers. Some of those won the CL with Ajax in 1995 and quite how they didn't win something at International level i'll never know.

As for us, i still think we'll bring in another forward, we've lost Diaby and Zaniolo from last season and re-gained Bidace and Buendia but i can see us getting someone else.
I wonder also whether we'll get another loan for LCB if Mings is someway off. I think we'll have to sell first for anywhere else though.

Chelsea can't just keep signing players surely. They have over 50 on their books. How in earth do they hit any kind of PSR model next season. Insane.
I wonder if they run out of letters for shirt personalisation in the club shop..
"Sorry mate, you can't have Palmer, we've run out of e's"

In Rome in 2001 I tried to get a shirt with Totti on the back (I was small), but the shop told us they were out of Ts because of Totti and Batistuta sales.

Think yourself lucky.  When I went over they had run out of O’s so I was forced to have Titti on my back.

Chelsea bound to have to let some players go on cut price deals in next few weeks..Madueke was very good against us last year but Neto surely ahead of him in pecking order now.

I really like Madueke, another skillful giant would be beneficial.

I think if we get Gertrude in as duel RB / RCB then we are as good as done  - certainly back to midfield.

Maybe an old head up front to compliment the chaos with being able to run games down as i still think only 2 out and out strikers is a little light

He recently commented on maatsens debut on insta... lets hope there is a reason for that 😄

We would have to let people go ourselves first.

We've sold Diaby. We need a winger. Madueke would be great.

Wouldnt signing another winger just hold Jaden's progress back?

Plus we could recycle the Savo bandanas.

There's still talk of Lo Celso coming.
It'll be telling if he's not in Spurs squad this evening and maybe there'll be some news this week on him and where he's going.

It would not be telling at all. He has missed out on several match day squads given the number of players that they have.

Jaden is decent squad player, we need a regular first teamer to replace Diaby. Plus, I like wingers.

Agree. Illing Jnr can also play wing.

I think we have to make good with what we have in that position. And let’s be honest that’s not a bad bunch.

No it’s nonsense, we have bigger priorities.
