Read somewhere that Williams is staying put for one more season as he'd made a promise to his brother.  Proper transfer speculation BS there!!

I'm getting a bit bored now, can we just get rid of Duran and sign 3 worldies already, please?

Did you read it 5 posts ago?

I've read the reason Barca aren't getting Williams is because he is sticking to his word to his brother that he would stay one more season at Bilbao.

As exciting as signings like Felix would be, I can't help but worry that we are very light in central defence. Mings is clearly not ready, Lenglet and Chambers have gone. Kpnsa will often play at right back, which leaves only Torres and Carlos, both of whom are injury prone. We need one or two more defenders.

As I said before, it all depends if Unai thinks Swinkels and Feeney can provide back up this year.  I guess we will know after the US trip when he decides to dip into the market or not

I'm suspicious of Feeney being one of those signings were he won't make the grade and he was merely a good physical size and player through his age groups.

His appeal has never been just about his size.

It's always been about his ability on the ball to go with that size,

Here is a link which talks about his overall ability & potential.

Last summer and this summer does show a pattern of getting the majority of our business done before the tour and bedding them all in and getting used to the structure. And pretty much putting a freeze on buying anyone else while he assesses where the younger players are at. Then getting 1 or 2 other deals done before the close of the window. Obviously last season's circumstances meant he had no choice but to bring in Zaniolo and Lenglet.

C Gallagher moving to A Madrid for £50m spent would open up J Felix move and they can recoup a similar fee while Emery gets his man.

Wouldn't mind Jullian Alvarez if he's not happy about not starting their big games.

He's a 19 year old centre half and always looked very decent to me. Have you watched him play?

He looked poor against Colombos Crew. So basing current form though is form even the best indicator here.
But I guess I expecting something as a highly rated 19 year old should be pushing for first team . When you have other highly players at that age starting or being transferred at clubs yet Feeney is unlikely to play here this season
I wonder if he'll be loaned out to Real Union again ?

Almost no centre halves make the first team at 19 and basing 'form' on highlights from pre season is a bit of a stretch to say the least. Chance he'll be loaned but I wouldn't be surprised to see him around the first team squad

Aston Villa are keeping a close eye on the situation of Jack Grealish at Manchester City and are considering a swoop for their former player, TEAMtalk can exclusively reveal.

We understand Villa are keen to re-sign their former winger on a season-long loan, with an obligation to buy the midfielder to be attached to the deal.

It's from Team Talk, so it's not going to happen....however

I mean highly rated ones they play in first teams or are in and around and thought Feeney in  that category but I thought he was having signed so young he would be now ready and developed due to expectations.
Look at Kosta Ned he's 18 played champions league and we signed him for big fee.

He's 19. Judging him in a friendly 10 days into pre season against a side in the middle of their full season is utterly absurd.
