The João Felíx rumours aren't going away. He wants everything settled before he's due to go back to Madrid in 10 days and a loan may be now an option. Ideally he'd like to go back to Barca but Atletico won't want to loan him there again and what money they have is heading north for Wales international, Nico Williams. That leaves us and..maybe Arsenal. I don't think he's that excited about a return to Benfica and who can blame him.

Going to be a busy old weekend down at B6. The squad is shaping up nicely and it’s still July. A couple of top names to come in and few lads to boot out and we will be set up for a strong season.

Loan to buy would be my guess. I don’t really blame him for wanting CL football. He’s been highly regarded for a while now and he’s still very young. He needs to settle down though and find a spot to at and dedicate to for the next 3+ years.

Raphinha seems to be the latest link

I like the look of Felix from the bits I've seen but I get the impression from his time at Chelsea and Barcelona that he's not a great option from the bench but looks much better when he starts and can grow into games.

I'd prefer the welshman.

The Welshman is definitely the better player but I do feel someone who can play through the middle (and deputise for Watkins) is a better fit with the current squad.

I think we have close to 0 chance of Williams.  He would be amazing - but just don't think we could afford him, and doubt he would be interested (not in a disrespectful way)

He just looks a bit sulky all the time to me, and I would wonder whether the risk of him actually being like that and damaging squad cohesion would be worth the potential if we got him firing again.

Unlike Duran who was at the club before he got here, I would hope anyone we sign received the Emery guidebook on how to behave as a Villa player

Question: Who would you take and why?

Joao Felix for £40m or Jack Grealish for £40m?

Grealish.

More likely the move would work.

Wasn’t the deal already agreed and too far down the line ?
