Is that Hermoso guy the one we were linked with before? He was out of contract somewhere?

Yep. His contract with Atletico has ran out.

There was talk of Napoli but looks like we're still in the hunt and him on a free would be an astute move.

Does sound like the ’clever’ type of signing we are going for this summer.

Be lovely if we can convince him. Have we ever had a Mario play for us?

Martin O'neill collected right back and hardly ever played them. Emery appears to be going full on left back crazy. Unless Digne and Moreno are on the out list, which seems odd hehen right back is clearly the issue. Or the link to left back number 87 of the window is utter tripe.

Hermoso does seem to be the kind of CH that either allows the ball past him or the player but not both, and its something we lack. Given the amount of fouls he committed around the penalty area, it may be a problem.

It might make sense if we wanted to sign this Araujo kid, if we use Iling-Junior as a LM/LW & then sell both Digne & Moreno.

Moreno & Digne are older, probably on higher wages, especially Digne, slower, etc.

The talk was that we are happy for either to go, Digne because of his high wages and that he isn’t the attacker profile Emery wants, and Moreno because he hasn’t really done it since his injury.

Rambo has spoken (sensibly) about the Berkshire Cantwell links -
"Former Aston Villa striker Alan McInally has warned his old club off signing Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher in the transfer window this summer.

McInally believes that Gallagher doesn’t have the quality to improve the Aston Villa squad and would demand wages that would be a burden for the club.

Pretty sure that around the same time they had Dani West Ham also had the success story of Marco Boogers.

Was he the one who went a bit mental and went off to live in a caravan?

You’re Cantwell reference really doesn’t make any sense, but I’m sure you know that.

It was reported at the time but from memory turned out to be a myth.
