Based on last season, if they offered what we paid for him, I would take it but I doubt Emery will. But £50m would pay for Baena or go some way towards getting Pedro Gonçalves.

Re: Spurs bidding for Ramsey. Presumably Levy was hoping we wouldn't be able to resolve our PSR issues and would be scrambling around trying to sell someone by now.

It's great that we immediately rejected it because you would think if we had any doubts that he would be able to get back to fitness, we would be looking to do a deal.

It that I have any inclination to sell Diaby if the Saudi’s offer insane money ie 75m+ then you have to consider it but I am expecting a huge season from him now he has settled in

Al-Nassr also being linked with a move for Diaby.
You see while I like Diaby and think he will be great next season after settling in, if it, for example, then gave us the headroom to go balls out for Nico Williams......

For a quarter of a million a week in wages, is it really worth it for maybe 3 or 4 more goals, tops? When Diaby may well improve himself to that.

I think Nico Williams would probably bring more than that, with overall play and everything. But I get wanting to give Diaby more time, ending his bad, loosener-type season with those numbers is pretty damn nifty.

Diaby also (in a season I think most people believe can easily be improved on) scored more for us last season than Williams has ever scored in a season in his career.

He looks good and he looks like he'll become great. But he's no more sure to be a success in the Premier League than Diaby is.

Yep, because Diaby had some struggles some people seem blinded to the fact he had a really solid season. That level of output would do for as long as he’s at the club, but I suspect he’s got a much higher ceiling so we’d be mad not to keep him.

Also we don’t want too much turnover in the squad.

I think he has the potential to be very good - hes only 24, and I think probably found it harder than he expected in his first season.  My think is he was better then Bailey was in his first couple of seasons.

I woudlnt be gutted to see him go if the money was right, but I would be happy enough to have him here next season

Wasn't that the same club who were supposedly beating us to Diaby's signature last season?

If we can sell Diaby buy Williams and bank a significant profit in the process (+£10m) it would seriously need looking at .

Thing is Tim I have a strong suspicion that had we signed Williams and not Diaby there’s a good chance you’d be arguing the opposite position now.

The first 6 weeks of Diaby were pretty decent, the next 6 months were crap but doesn't he have better numbers than Jacky G's best ever season for City?

I hope you're not insinuating that Tim might be a bit of a contrarian at times.
