Yes but Leon and Moussa both play inverted, I want us to have a quality right-footed swinger option with pace. We're very left-leaning.

Agreeing with eamonn here. We seem to have countless capable players on the left (even a lot of leftfooters) both defensively and offensively. On the right we have the excellent Leon going forward but not much stability at all. Please Emery do make me more relaxed about the right side of our team next season (and also shift Olsen and I will be very happy).

I'm not sure that it matters if we fix the left side before the right side, as long as the squad starts taking shape in time for pre-season and the start of the season.

Emery might be looking to return McGinn back to one of the 10 positions on the right, where he was able to affect games more before he had to start playing centrally because of injuries.

Ideally we would get cash for Duran because Everton need to sell players before June 30th, so that cash enables us to go and sign Onana.

Digne is better defensively than Moreno so we could retain Digne as the defensive left back and have Maatsen as the attack-minded left back, so it could work out that way.

Onana cost Everton over £30m, and he's a better player now than when he arrived, and is no longer a 'risk' for a Premier League side.  I don't see how he'll be available for anything less than £50m+, which doesn't really fit our profile? Unless we think Everton could be forced into a sale? He's not even halfway through his contract, so his boo value is still probably £20m, which means he's not a hugely profitable player for them to sell quickly or on the cheap?

Oh, I totally agree!  I just mean the price that would be required to get him feels like it's not the sort of deal we're doing these days.  At least not yet. I suspect it'll be a year or two before we can raid other Premier League clubs with 'too good to turn down' type offers for their better players.

We'd have to break our transfer record to get him, and I don't see us doing that for a player like him (I could be very wrong, obviously!). There are established top-6 teams who think nothing of spending £60m on a player, but we're not one of them.  Yet.
