well i was just up at the allotment tending to my asturian tree cabbages

NO! Let them die.  A leaf you have to cook with other leaves to give them some flavour? What's wrong with cabbage?

I'm working class scum and I've known about Nduja for a while, mainly shit versions of it on supermarket pizzas. They sold it in the Co-op... in Bearwood, and I can very much confirm that isn't where many ponces reside.

Ahh, they look like decent flats (if they're the ones I'm picturing in my head), from the outside anyway!

This 'Nduja then, how do you eat it? Is it like a cold thing you'd have as a snack, like pate? Or do you cook it and eat it as part of a meal?

Pate is probably the closest equivalent. It's decent on bread, but also works really well as fat / heat as a cooking ingredient. A decent quick lunch is a spoonful of 'nduja in a frying pan and stir freshly cooked pasta through it for 30 seconds.

If you're familiar with rillettes, it's that with a load of chilli mixed in.

Both! I mean you don't cook it exactly, but you can add it right at the end of cooking to eat it warm. And unlike a quiche it's definitely fine either way.

There's a decent Italian shop in Bearwood now, not cheap though, and I have in the past bought it and just spread it on crunchy bread. It's like a salami type pate.

The beauty of H&V in full view. Transfer thread hijacked by food snobs arguing over the merits of a sausage spread.
