Kalvin Phillips was an absolute disaster at West Ham. A proper Danny Drinkwater type signing for them. So no thanks.

I see Everton are linked with signing Kalvin Phillips on loan.
He would be the kind of player that could fill the void left by Kamara.
It doesn't sound like he is going back to Man City, so is looking for options, i know he flunked at West Ham, but a seasons loan would be a great stop gap until Kamara is back, and without having to find a transfer fee.

The fat wasteman could definitely fill the void. With cake.

For all you fans of people who like a bit plane spotting, there’s been “unusual level of movement” between Milan and BHX, including  significant people from Villa apparently.

Dumfries coming? Duran going? Should people get a life?

TheTrees on Villatalk used to be good for this info, dunno if he does it anymore. Haven't been on there this decade.

I suggested Amrabat a while back and got a red card. Have been embarrassed to post on H&V  since.

Kalvin Phillips!!

Brace yourself.

Youssef En-Nesyri rumoured

https://todofichajes.com/en-nesyri-sera-el-primero-en-salir-y-apunta-al-aston-villa/

Unai knows him  and played in the chumps league before.  Center forward.

He's the fella that scored in the 2022 World Cup to knock Portugal out in the quarter finals. It's rumoured West Ham are also interested as Julen Lopetegui knows him very well from their time together at Sevilla. Sounds like Sevilla are having a fire sale and urgently need to sell though isn't there bad blood between Monchi and their president?

En-Nesyri would be a massive upgrade on Duran and probably give Watkins time to rest and some.

Even at his best Philips would be an awful replacement/cover for Kamara. He's never been good at the defensive side of things, which is why they normally paired him with someone like Adams, Klich or Dallas who would all run around and kick people so Philips could sit in and be a distributor.

He'd only ever be competition for Luiz and Tielemans and they're both good enough to make signing him pointless even without the very real risk that he's Drinkwater Mk2.

In yesterday's match at the Sánchez Pizjuán, there were several farewells, and one of them was Youssef En-Nesyri. The Moroccan player has been among the candidates to leave for several seasons, and now everything indicates that his time in the Andalusian capital has come to an end.

This operation is expected to finance part of the planning for the next season, as Sevilla hopes to receive a transfer fee close to €20M-€25M. Currently, Aston Villa is the best positioned to secure the services of the African player, with Unai Emery having been trying to recruit his former protégé for some time.

The talks between the Birmingham-based club and Sevilla have been ongoing for weeks and an agreement is very close. So much so that only a few details regarding variable figures need to be resolved, as the player's side of the deal is already fully settled.

Carlos to Milan. Gave Zaniolo a lift home at the same time.

Hopefully, if we can get a decent fee.

Calm down. Much more probable that it is a cutting edge Italian architectural firm swooping in with plans for the Bordsley Green MEGASTADIUM.
