Id rather have nunez than sterling tbh if liverpool were willing to sell

What would be the point in that? I think that's a terrible suggestion.

Why ?

Because I don't think he would be a good fit and we don't need him. Besides, whenever i saw Liverpool play last season, they looked better when Gakpo was playing rather than Nunez.

Why ?

Why would Liverpool sell their main centre forward, and why would he swap a regular place in their first team for a place on our bench behind Watkins?

And why would we break our transfer record to make the above happen?

Not sure if ita real but according to FR no approach for sterling

If you're going from a Twitter account, you got the wrong one. He's said nothing there about us and Sterling.

One thing I have learned is that I want Dybala now, as he's turned down £75m a year to go to Saudi Arabia as he wants to stay in Europe. Good man.

He said it on his YouTube channel update that there was no deal being discussed

Interesting. Unusual for these types to disagree on something like this. Guess we'll see.

On Sterling, there's clearly a very good player in there, though I do slightly struggle to picture what he does best beyond some useful tap-ins. It's also true he's been unfairly (and we know why) targeted by much of the press as being 'mercenary', when he's played for three clubs in his life.

That said, Rashford gets unfairly targeted and I wouldn't want him either, for purely football reasons. And to be honest that 'camp statement' was one of the worst things I've ever seen in football, I wanted to chew my own arm off reading it.

And, more fundamentally, I think Morgan Rogers is the absolute tits, and it should take something really, really special to dislodge him from first choice in the second striker position. Felix might have been that; I just don't think Sterling would be.

Yes indeed.  That's it.  He isn't better than what we already have and THAT is the kind of player I want us to sign now.

I mentioned Sterling a week or so ago and it understandably got a mixed rection. His wages puts me off a little but he's a very good player. I think he can play both flanks can't he?

He can play anywhere across the front line

I personally think the opposite. I think he would be unbelievable under unai. He is better, younger than sterling and scored 11 goals and got 8 assists in the league. If you add his europa goals  9 goals and 3 assists.

He misses alot of chances thats his biggest flaw. But he scores goals too. He would be a great signing for us

Thats of 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' were willing to sell

Personally I think Sterling is one of the most frustrating players to watch and has very poor decision making. He isn’t anywhere near the player he was at City or Liverpool. It would be a monumental disaster and a massive waste of money. Glad that a very reliable journalist with Chelsea connections has poo pooed it (for now)…

Why not Mbappé? Or 1995 Ronaldo?

If the rumours have any truth he would be a direct replacement for Diaby, I would rather spend the money on a top right back and centre half.

I think Sterling's a better player than some give him credit for, even if he is a bit of a headless chicken sometimes. However,
1. His wage demands would be ridiculous.
2. We actually don't need a straight replacement for Diaby.
3. If we're going to keep Duran, let's give him every chance of playing.
4. Buendia, Rogers, Barkley and Tielemans can play a #10 type role.
5. If we have some  money, get in a good CB option.

Must say this has a whiff of it getting media coverage based on the snowball effect of one twitter opinion.

I just cant see it being a deal UE would want to do.

Again, Steinberg isn't one usually to just make shit up or put his name on a report based on Twitter rumours. He could be wrong, but it's pretty unusual for someone like him and Romano to be at odds. We shall see.
