Seems as though we won't be signing any further players, unless we can sell first.

Apparently we're in discussions for Ernest Moçi as Rafa Silva has arrived and Giovanni van Bronckhorst now thinks there's no need for the player they signed in February. Have a look at Silva's goal and the ball that set him up from the number 9. Now pretend it's not Rafa Silva but Ollie Watkins.

This is from the weekend. The assist wasn't from Moçi, it was from an 18 year old I may have mentioned previously on here, somebody apparently we've made two offers on, Semih Kılıçsoy. Make it happen, Monchi.

Click bait but claims we are trying to swap Digne for Muci.  Wasn’t Muci the guy who scored twice against us in Warsaw?

He same fella. I think it's them that want Digne as part of the deal. Doubt Unai will agree. We've been linked with Muçi for over 6 months and more recently Semih Kılıçsoy.

I think you'll see a forward come in anyway but would probably guess that otherwise it will be the case.

Unai basically said it on Talksport. Said we've got a squad of 25 so need to shift people first. The DoFs intimated that we needed to for PSR as well.

If everyone we brought in comes good straight away, and we get lucky with injuries, I think we definitely have a stronger squad, and we'll be alright. They're all big ifs though.

The trouble is, even if Ollie stays fit for the 4th straight season, we can't expect him to potentially play 50 odd matches again. He'd completely run out of steam at the end of last season. We need another attacker.

Hopefully we can shift Diego Carlos and bring in a more versatile right sided defender. Maybe Moreno will go out on loan? If Duran stays I think that kills hopes of a Felix/Baena type deal and we will end up replacing Diaby with a combination of Ramsey and Buendia hopefully being fit this season. Maybe if we can trim the squad enough there might be a late Zaniolo style deal for a specialist 10.

It needs to be a much better player than Zaniolo though, he was a huge disappointment.

I agree. Its unrealistic to expect ollie to play this volume of games. We kind of shit ourselves in the foot with duran  as now we have a unhappy player that a lot of fans feel disrespected by his actions and we can't get anyone in until he or archer is moved on

This is my thinking with the new signings. Can't expect them all to have a Rogers style debut season(ish) but we can't afford for any of them to have a Zaniolo style season.

I'd imagine these are the players we're still trying to shift:

Dendoncker
Carlos
Moreno/Digne
Archer
Duran
Maybe Olsen if they think Gauci is OK to be 2nd choice.

We saw last season having players starting 50+ games means there is a point they burn out. The squad is deeper and almost everyone now has a part to play.

Moving Carlos is key to bringing in the versatile defender and Duran going will allow another striker to be brought in.

How do loans work vs FFP?

There could also be a load of bluff about the squad being at capacity... and we can actually bring in one or two more without selling anyone.

Surely that'll either be Duran or his replacement.
