I woudnt mind keep the Donk as a fifth ish option at DM or CB and also keep the other younger Belgians with company/support.

Jesus, the Donk at CB?

Really?
Yes that is for real (belive it or not). He played there for Belgia not long ago.

I can only assume this was against San Marino or during a plague outbreak.

Not for me, was a v poor signing…too slow to play centre mid and way way too slow to play at the back in a high line when we aren’t exactly blessed with pace already
Yes, pace might be a problem. I woudnt say that he was a v poor signing.

Fabrizio Romano: Aston Villa eyeing £25m "hero" with same agent as Barkley

Aston Villa have identified a new transfer target with weeks remaining of the summer window, with the target sharing the same agency as Ross Barkley.

He's been a terrible signing.

What did we pay? 14m?

He has had absolutely no impact.

I would, he’s never looked capable of being a first choice player at all, for me Wolves had our pants down on this one, they had Moutinho & Neves to do the donkey work there that made Donk look better than he is.  Seems like a decent character so wish him well, just elsewhere

£13m supposedly. He always felt like a "we need another body and it's deadline day and we've missed out on our main targets so who can we get so late" type of signing.

Can someone read that and tell me why he's a hero?

Edit: I quit being a lazy ****** and scanned it. There is no reason.

Dendonker is absolute shite.  Cost us around 13 mill and runs like he has a carrot stuck up his arse.  He is easily the worst midfielder we have.  Terrible player at centre mid or centre back.  Needs another club, somewhere, anywhere.

I thought he was a last minute freebie, I can’t believe we paid that much for him. I presume this was a Gerrard signing?

He was full Belgian international at the time and good enough for a side at the arse end of the PL. He just isn't good enough for this version of Aston Villa.

Him and Carlos are meat and two veg plodders, not going to be good enough in the CL but been solid enough for us, they both cost a lot but at the going rate for plodders these days
