As for Joan Felix, he'll be the 2024 version of Sasa Curcic. Off the back of a 4th place finish we sign a highly talented play-making nut job to take us to the next level, who decides he's had enough after 2 months and spends the season in the reserves, a massively expensive mistake.

This might be a leap

Seems to split opinion again this one but are you saying you think it’s a good move and if so what makes you think so? Genuine question as I’m looking for positives!

I wouldnt go to the wall over it, but I think he is a good player that could and should be a great player, hoping if we get him Emerys the man to draw his talent out. It would be risky mind, but it would also be a sit up the rest of the footballing world, Villa have arrived. The kind of name agreeing to come to us that would make other big name players notice us.

Looks like Sergi Roberto will leave Barca and is available on a free. Apparently we're interested.

Not for me Clive.

Duran is a massive twat. The players self evidently think he's a prick. I'd like to be churlish and let the ****** rot.

The natives aren't happy

I absolutely don't forgive you for linking that clip. I've not known anyone whinge about the nature of rumours like that before. Don't make the fucking video then. Are West Ham fans that thick that they need someone explaining what a rumour is? "Don't shoot the messenger", "I know you won't be happy with me about this one and I'll understand if you're upset". Get a grip man. At least I know to avoid his face in the future.

I watched that channel a few times last season, as the bloke is really funny when he gets angry.

He posted some brilliant stuff about David Moyes.

Unfortunately looks like that’s the case. We’ll be well shot of him, he’s an utter bellend.

There something that doesn’t fit quite right with me about the whole using players like monopoly houses.

Contrast some of the vitriol now directed to Duran, compared to people's comments after the Liverpool game.

I think there's a promising player there, and many are guessing about what goes on behind the scenes. He may be a handful to manage, but them there are plenty of such players at lots of clubs.

Anyway if he does go, I hope we have another striker lined up as heaven forbid if something untoward were to happen to Watkins. Archer won't be the mitigating answer to that risk.

Best thing he ever did was boot luke Shaw for no apparent reason.

This is a great post, especially when it goes into mob threat mode. That's a nice Watkins you've got there. It'd be a shame if something happened to it.

Perhaps Monchi could use a famous mob threat when we present our new back-up striker with our offfer:

“When I leave this room, either you signature or your brains will be on the contract”*

*Said to the band leader who wouldn’t free Sinatra from a restrictive deal.

Or the one my mate said to a semi-professional Birmingham Bullets player who was going to smitch on him for something that happened at work:

“If you grass me up, the next time you play basketball will be at the Special Olympics”

Romano

João Félix, back in Madrid to train alone supported by Atlético Madrid staff.

No chance to stay at Atléti as club wants to sell him… and he wants to leave.

Unai Emery, insisting with dream signing but Aston Villa will try to reduce expensive package.

One to watch.

I'm not overly impressed with this pursuit of Felix. Strikes me he's mostly famous for Atletico massively overspending on him.
