Re the Orford deal, I wonder is it Villa that's calling the shots on this by telling West Ham who they want instead of West Ham offering who they don't want, with our shrewd operators I wouldn't be at all surprised.  30 mil plus a promising youngster seems like decent business to me given Duran's obvious wish to get away.

These are not my thoughts or words as I’d never heard of him until a couple of hours ago. Just what I read, but if we’re talking £5-£10m difference off the fee there is an option there to take a gamble.
