With Felix, I don’t watch much European league football anymore but other than that eye watering fee that Athletico paid for him as he shown consistent form of a top player anywhere or are clubs still chasing the notion that they can be the ones to unlock the 100m talent?

Interested in views of thosr that have seen a decent amount of him? Barely put his head above the parapet at Chelsea

He's never struck me as anything other than a perfectly reasonable footballer with a high reputation, that at the age of 24, he has never met.

Things might be different under Emery, but I wouldn't want to gamble €60M to find out.

Feels a bit Zaniolo to me...

Edit- Ger Regan beat me to it.

A couple of small counter-arguments, his stock is still high enough and he is still young enough that a lot of the £50m or so would probably be recoupable unless he really bombs. And he didn't bomb at Chelsea, he just didn't do well enough to make them want to spend the £100m that Atletico wanted back then. So there's nothing to suggest that he wouldn't give us £50m of footballing value.

Also, there's the Robinho factor - in a footballing sense, he was pretty dreadful at Man City. However, he was worth every penny because signing him was the door that meant the likes of Aguero, Silva, Toure, Tevez et al saw them as a viable place to go. And for all our good players, we probably don't have that yet, and he definitely would be that.

Not saying that I think we should sign him, just that there is possibly a logic beyond just where and how he fits in the team.

Those are fair points.

Im still not sure I would take the risk unless we had options like we did with Zaniolo...

The Robinho comment is exactly the reason I'd like us to go for Felix/Williams/Chiesa/Etc and get someone that everyone responds to with a "how the fuck have they managed that?".

On Felix specifically I think there's clear talent there and Barca wanting to make it a permanent deal despite him not being a regular starter says a lot. If he's sensible with his wage demands I'd go for it, he feels like exactly the sort of player that a coach like Emery could turn from a nearly man into a genuine world class talent.

I would take Williams in a heartbeat.

He is class.

And was class last year when we wanted him & before he showed the world how good he is at the Euros.

But despite him being a long term target, I think he is out of our reach for the now...

Who would people prefer out of Felix and Baena?

This Ramsey to Spurs rumour keeps bubbling up on Sky Sports. It’s got to be bollocks, Lo Celso has completely lost his value there and I cannot see why we would want to or have any need to sell.

I think Baena is the most likely replacement for Diaby. He's younger, cheaper & Emery knows what he's capable of.

Not heard any links this summer to Pedro Gonçalves from Sporting. There were lots of rumours last summer but I don't think he was even in the Portugal squad at the Euros. Scores & creates plenty of goals.

Palace are not selling Eze and Olise in the same window.

If Eze has the same £60m release clause as Olise did (and reports say that he does) then they may not have a choice.

Maybe. It will of course prompt a bidding war

They’ll be chucking Josh Onomah in next

According to a Spurs friend, Ramsey is doing the rounds on Spurs social media and has been for a while.  They seem to think his incoming transfer is happening.  Not saying it will, but is what I'm told.

As far as I know Onomah has been without a club for a year now. I know he wasn't great and their offer was a pisstake but i'm surprised that's how he's ended up.
