Nights like that seemed a long way off 5 or 6 years ago. Nights like that is where we belong.

Aston Villa 4-0 Ajax. Diaby and Duran were major plusses tonight

Hoping Watkins is more precaution than anything

Watching the post match chat on TV - still love Alan Hutton. The original Villa Cafu.

I reckon Ollie will be just fine. Just a bang on the knee. He'll be good to go in May.

Roy Keane just asked go where ?

Bailey on TNT: I asked Ollie to stay on til half time, but it (his injury) was bad and he couldn’t 😧

Surely it it were *that* bad, he wouldn't have stayed on to score a goal?

Bailey just said on TNT that it was a bad open cut on the knee. Much better than knee tendons.

So after that showing, who expects Henderson to be the first name on the England team sheet?

Duran looked good, bullied their defenders, made things happen,  nearly broke the crossbar. If Ollie, McGrath forbid, is in bother, he's one of our main forwards. I think he's going to be a v good player.

Not heard much from VillaTim tonight.

Strange he is always about when news is suboptimal. Hope he is ok after Tuesday's result

He's probably at the game, and not on his phone. Good etiquette, I'd say.
He tried to post but couldn't get any WiFi at the ground.*

*It is not clear which ground

Yep, Diaby looked far better. Looked like he had pace again, it would be a massive boost if he found form for the run in. Duran was really sharp too deserved his goal. Would have been nice if Dougie had more of a rest, we really can't afford for owt to happen to him now.

My Ajax supporting mate calls this the worse Ajax side in a generation and probably isn't far off, they were poor. But you have to admire our ability to bounce back from a hammering by dishing out one of our own.

Much needed after Sundays debacle.  Fingers crossed Watkins going off was a precaution

Replace Phillips and Mount with Rice and Gallagher and there will only be one there from merit.
