Last year we drew 3-3 with Brentford same levels of fitness.  We beat the other sides didn’t we?

I think that’s the telling thing playing against sides at the same levels of fitness. This time around Columbus and Club America have started their season. For Columbus they are mid season. Both are current champions of their leagues. And the Leipzig game plan went to shit because Carlos was an idiot.

Club America have played 4 games and are currently 9th.

It's not like we're facing Manchester City in December.

No but doesn’t change that they have started their season and they are currently champions. They look more cohesive than us. And 4 games in means they are physically fitter than us playing in temperatures much more like Mexico than what we normally see in the Uk. It’s 30+ right now.

Barkley had lost the ball a lot. Especially as he’s playing deeper.

I don’t know why and I’m happy for me to totally shot down but this has the vibes of pre season 2021.  Without the kick about in the London park and the big transfer saga.

It's a bit like watching England, with all these players doing the palms up, "where's the movement?" type shrugs when they get the ball in the opposition half.

Yeah, I get that, but the question is, what are the positives so far from these 3 games?

I don't care if we win or lose, it is about seeing some shape in what we do, but we look like we've been dragged halfway across the world for pre-season where the only positive is a bit of marketing.

What do you think the positives are from these three matches?

Buendia being back. There's one. What else?

Do we know if Felix is watching? And could he displace Dobbin in this side?

I’m now officially worried.

It's not going to help grow our brand in North America. :(

Actually no I’m getting 2022 pre season vibes. When the new assistant didn’t have a passport.

No I get that. It’s looked a bit of a struggle without some of our key players. I suppose if this wasn’t Emery I would be very concerned. He tries things we are not looking at. He’s earned the benefit of the doubt. The positives for me are what it reveals to him and Monchi in the players we still need. Because this group will be fine mostly but challenging for a top 4 will be a stretch combined with CL. We definitely need some proper players to come in. Not just prospects.

Also total lack of upside down badges.
