It’s a pre season friendly. It’s ok to discuss and ask questions as we all do. But if we know anything now about Emery is that he is always trying things, looking at players, systems, formations. Areas of our game that he may roll out in the season or scrap altogether. So to over analyze certain players, especially fringe ones doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Dobbin, Feeney, Kosta, KKH are all likely loan candidates. Cam probably helping his sale value with a couple of goals. Unlikely Donck is around a lot longer. Nothing is proven one way or another in these games.
Just important to see what calibre of players we are dealing with that are playing and in case of Dobin he isn't likely to be loaned out is he ? It's signing him that doesn't make sense
Maybe he will be a key player but I suspect he won't be this season.

He’s 21. There is plenty of time for him to prove himself. When we signed Morgan Rodgers for a similar amount most people wondered why? And certainly after our game up at Boro in the cup. But he’s been a revelation. Not every player will have that trajectory but to wonder why we signed him after a few pre season minutes is ludicrous. Even by your standards.

Miles in legs.
Less painful than running up that hill with Sir Ron Saunders barking excoriations at you.

I've been misunderstood.
I wonder why he was signed. When he was signed. I wondered how he got on against Colombos because of being signed. To see what impact he has.
As I say why sign someone in a position we have of strength and it would only unbalance the squad.
The discussion is why was Dobbin transferred in the first place that is the question to be pondered.

Dobbin was pretty anonymous.
What's the deal with this Dobbin ?
I mean those financial moves seem to have left us with some unbalance by bringing him in.
And seemingly anonymous now by reports!

A 27 minute appearance in a pre season friendly?

SEND HIM BACK.

Well, maybe that's the case as it was a not-so-hidden swap deal for Tim Iroegbunam, so at season end, like other deals for our young gems Philogene and Archer we have seen, the transfer is reversed?

So perhaps he's here for just one season and sees the exchange back for next season if it doesn't work out or play the required number of games? That would make sense.
Or is Dobbin some hope that he's Antony Gordon standard?
Why bring Dobbin out of all the players? He's not needed in that position and can he really be a champions league level player instead of Diaby ?

Why not just the money for Iroegbunam?
I see it was an undisclosed fee.
Do we know likely how much?

Dobbin will probably go out on loan. The Iroegbunam and Dobbin signings suited both clubs from a PSR perspective.

After the Columbus crap we decided to head home via Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. So glad we did, it is wonderful. Home late tomo, then work Tuesday before more driving to the Leipzig game on Wednesday. Hoping SJM, Youri, Dibu, Ezri and Ollie are back in for that one. Oh and since Diego took his shirt off after the Crew game my wife has not stopped drooling :)

This sounds a great experience with Niagara.
Regards Martinez, Watkins and Konsa I on understanding aren't on the tour and given further recovery time after the International final exploits.
