Gauchi  - nervous at times but not really at fault for any goals
Ned sloppy at times. Uses pace to cover his deficiencies
Feeny - ok for a kid but god help us if he is needed for first team yet.
Pau- pretty poor tbh, crap position for 2goals and gave ball away unnecessarily.
Moreno- bang average and way off pace for first goal.
Barkley- way off it. Looked lost at times.
Enzo- Tidy
Junior - thought was best of bunch first half
Bailey- slack at times. Hope last season doesn't go to his head and he goes back to the old Bailey.
Archer- had 2 chances and buried one of them. Other than that he was anonymous.
Rogers- I actually thought he kept trying to do too much at times.

Philogene- lively but no end product.
Maatson- looked good going forward.
Onana- other than one sloppy lost pass looked a giant on the pitch
Zych- sloppy for goal
Cash- run forward, stop, play ball back and repeat. Awful mistake for 4th goal
Carlos- okish
Haden- got forward well. Seemingly more a winger than RB
Digne - left CB? Strange

Buendia- great to see him back at his niggle best. A couple of lovely trademark through balls.

So when can we expect

Mcginn
Tielemans
Watkins
Konsa
Martinez  back in the squad?

The kit looked superb

Gauci- I think his positioning for their second could be better and he needed to be higher up the pitch. He was in a bit of a no man’s land when the striker took his shot.

^^ yeah, his positioning was awful for that goal.. Looked like he must have been leaning up against his post having a fag when the bloke went through.

If he does go back to the Old Bailey, we might need H&V's finest legal representation, Richard E & Hopadog Associates, to make sure he stay away from trouble.

It would have been interesting to see Buendia playing in the first half, since it looke dto me like Archer was waiting for passes that were never made.

I missed the first 20 mins as dropped off, so didn't see all of the first half.

Thought Onana looked decent. Barranechea looked tidy on the ball. Nedeljkovic showed promise going forward & he looked quite a big lad for all of that pace. Rogers, tidy but greedy. Philogene tried but got crowded out.

Those were the positives for me.

Im going to ignore the negatives because it's only a friendly & means as much as the two victories prior to it.

As pre-season gathers pace, they will get up to speed & with the stronger players being added to the squad, sharpness & the quality will return.

I don't know why Dobbin was signed apart from financial reasons and no one has talked of him. Any thing can say on seeing him ?

Dobbin was pretty anonymous.
What's the deal with this Dobbin ?
I mean those financial moves seem to have left us with some unbalance by bringing him in.
And seemingly anonymous now by reports!

A 27 minute appearance in a pre season friendly?

SEND HIM BACK.

I think Torres could be better in a three or even as a left back - balance by an attacking right back. Pretty much opposite to what we do with Konsa.

Alternatively, we could go out and buy one of the best left wing backs in Europe. Oh, hang on..

Well, maybe that's the case as it was a not-so-hidden swap deal for Tim Iroegbunam, so at season end, like other deals for our young gems Philogene and Archer we have seen, the transfer is reversed?

So perhaps he's here for just one season and sees the exchange back for next season if it doesn't work out or play the required number of games? That would make sense.
Or is Dobbin some hope that he's Antony Gordon standard?
Why bring Dobbin out of all the players? He's not needed in that position and can he really be a champions league level player instead of Diaby ?

Why not just the money for Iroegbunam?
I see it was an undisclosed fee.
Do we know likely how much?

It’s a pre season friendly. It’s ok to discuss and ask questions as we all do. But if we know anything now about Emery is that he is always trying things, looking at players, systems, formations. Areas of our game that he may roll out in the season or scrap altogether. So to over analyze certain players, especially fringe ones doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Dobbin, Feeney, Kosta, KKH are all likely loan candidates. Cam probably helping his sale value with a couple of goals. Unlikely Donck is around a lot longer. Nothing is proven one way or another in these games.
