I’ve got the Villa TV+ package and I’m looking forward to watching the friendly ‘international’ fixtures. It was great, watching the Villa again tonight!

And knowing a load of first teamers have yet to reappear!

Any opinions on Barkley?

Looked a bit rusty but showed off his range of passing.

Martinez, Konsa, Kamara, Mings, Maatsen, Onana, Tielemans,  McGinn, Ramsey, Buendia, Watkins subs Dobbin, Duran, Philogene....plus the 22 involved tonight = massive squad!

Have I missed anyone?
Only the lesser spotted Kortney Hause I think.

Not long home. Thought he did ok, he gave the ball away a couple of times, but always looking for a progressive pass…still sweaty

Why are we playing an away friendly in Slovakia? Seems a bit rogue

Did we ever find out why we are playing this friendly? Flying out to Slovakia before going to the US seems very random, especially when it's to play Spartak Trnava.

Same here. I know it's only a friendly, but I'd always rather win them than not, and lots of players looked up for it.

Anyone know why Ramsey wasn’t in the squad?

How did the new RB do?

Solid. Made some good runs. Emery seems to prefer big, strong, athletic players and this kid is that even at 18. It will be interesting to see who backs up Cash this season. He looked better than KKH. Of course we might send both kids out on loan and get another RB to challenge Matty.

Looking at that translated article on the kids thread, it looks like he is expecting to come in & play from day one.

And as Rogers has proven, if you are good enough, you are old enough...

None of last seasons long term injury players were in it so I suppose they might be doing extra fitness training.
