Bloody hell that new font they use on the OS is dreadful, it's like a worse version of comic sans.
Decades to comprehend guidelines for internet accessibility, usability, typography, basic principles of graphic design and the Villa are still using Netscape and IE6 on W95.

Also, Bilbao at the Bescott? FFS! Why can't it be B6 in Bilbao?

The reason might be due to the building work at Villa Park

You can't stage a football match while Heck throws all the seats into the air and sees where they land!

Nah,  I meant 'B6', as a metonym for 'Aston Villa',  whom I would rather watch in the city of Bilbao, which is slightly more exotic than Walsall.

Trnava is in Slovakia, if like me you were wondering.

Why are we playing an away friendly in Slovakia? Seems a bit rogue

If anyone's looking for accommodation, I believe the hostels are particularly cheap in Slovakia.

Brno and even Vienna followed by a train is do-able.  A friend is doing Budapest then a train.  If you're thinking of using trains check out this site:  https://www.seat61.com/index.html

The return fixture is next summer in the San Mamés. The reigning CL winners will be a big draw in Bilbao.

Soldier Field. Superb

Any one want any tips for Chicago, should be a fun few days.

It’s a place I lived also CL. A brilliant city.

Is it your kind of town?

It’s a fabulous place. Architecture is beautiful. A proper US city. Everything feels very big. People are great. Yes there is crime and that takes the headlines. But like any place you generally have to go find it or be in a bad spot at the wrong time. And maybe not to the same extend but that is also true of every American city. You could make that case just about most major UK cities also. I still have friends there and love to visit when I can.

How easy is it to find the crime exactly? Would I be able to rub shoulders with the Outfit lads on Grand Avenue?

I did a Eurolines bus journey from London to Bratislava when I was at Uni. I don’t recommend it.

New fixtures added;

https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2024/june/05/villa-confirm-pre-season-fixtures/

Athletic Club Bilbao (August 7th, Bescott) and FC Spartak Trnava (July 20th, away).

Quite annoying that it's at home, given I'll be in Bilbao on August 7th.
