I struggle to think of many players who left Villa and there career got better.  Barry, Milner, Young..

50 / 50 chance he'll be on loan at some club in 24 months.  A lot will depend on how good a coach Xavi is.
How easily people forget Barry Bannan.

I honestly expect Fernandez to be sold to fund Rogers.

if we had this kind of upheaval last summer we would have been in serious trouble.

And yet people went on for months saying what a shit transfer window it was.

We did have a shit transfer window.

When Lindelof on a free is your best signing, followed by a 35 year old reserve keeper, it hasn’t been great.
Yep

It was a atrocious  window. Probablyvthe worst under emery. Its unbelievable  that we had our best season with that in mind

Yet apparently Garnacho's stats compare favourably...

Rogers did it consistently over the season and got incredible actual numbers but broken down compared to how many minutes were played he was nothing special. That's not a criticism, being able to play 90 minutes game after game and still have a huge impact even through some lean spells is a skill in itself and that's why Rogers is a £117m player. If we can get Garnacho and Manzambi to the point of having the same level of drive and determination the talent is there for them to do similar.

Garnacho aged 22 has better stats than Rogers did when aged 22. Doesn't mean Garnacho will improve as much as Rogers did but comparing them when at the same age is pretty fair.

Rogers is a fool. He should have stayed for another season and got himself a move to a big club. At that price and that long a contract, he's trapped at Chelsea for the rest of his career.
*Ahem*

Care to explain this?

Keown

Eventually, but the initial move to Everton was a backwards step as we went flying past them.

Yes, Sir. A club like Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Morgan Rogers was a brilliant player for us, and absolutely key to our success. Whether he’s that at Chelsea, who knows and I hope they have no success obviously. But he’s left a massive gap that needs to be filled - and if anyone matches what he did they’ll have done an incredible job.
